- Education is the fundamental right of any individual. However, in Kashmir, education is the worst-hit sector. In particular, education of girls has been badly affected.
Gender inequality compels many girls to forego education, marry early, and do domestic chores. According to the 2011 Census, female literacy in Jammu and Kashmir was 56.43% while male literacy was 76.75%.
Thus there is a huge difference that needs to be redressed by providing education to women. Privilege Fellowship is helping girl students from humble backgrounds to continue their education and pursue their dream. Fellowship is aimed at uplifting the girls from humble backgrounds by empowering them with higher education and skills required to achieve their goals. Privilege Fellowship supports the underprivileged girls with funds for their higher education, personality development trainings and focused mentorship by professional with industrial experience for chosen carrier options.
